Following a lengthy publicity campaign, which featured a blimp over London, tags around the world and private album listening parties, Aphex Twin’s new Warp Records release Syro is now available for streaming on Spotify.
Regardless of the gimmicks, hype surrounding the record was already fever pitch, as Syro marks Richard James’ first Aphex Twin album in 13 years.
The experimental producer revealed in a recent Pitchfork interview that the new album consists of tracks from the last seven years, and marks the “end of a chapter,” from which he can now move on and “concentrate on some new stuff.”
You can stream Syro via Spotify below, and pick up a copy from Bleep.
