James Blake collaboration with Bon Iver ‘I Need A Forest Fire’ gets visuals

While James Blake’s third album was rumoured to have various left-of-center collaborations (such as infamous Hip hop figure Kanye West), the resulting work that is his third release, The Colour in Anything, largely only contained solo work plus one stunning collab-piece with Bon Iver.

Today a visual component was released to accompany ‘I Need A Forest Fire,’ and the result is a scattering of minimal design that gentle caresses the listener/viewer through the darkness of the video’s background. The ending, which features birds flying in front of the sun brings the audience to light, and matched with the echo-ey end of ‘I Need A Forest Fire,’ the song drills a whole into minds and hits the soul with equal fervor.
