K-Pop icon JENNIE has teamed up with Grammywinning rapper Doechii for a high-octane new track, ‘ExtraL’. The track serves as the Blackpink star’s third single from her upcoming debut album, Ruby, set for release on March 7, 2025. She’s also tapped a star-studded list of collaborators for Ruby, including Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis, and FKJ. Doechii, lauded by those who don’t even typically enjoy Hip-Hop for her sheer talent as a songwriter and performer, has been a name on everybody’s lips as her virality has been gaining traction over the last year.

The collaboration arrives at the perfect moment for both artists, hot off the heels of Doechii’s recent Grammy win for Best Rap Album (with a jaw-dropping performance at the ceremony), and JENNIE’s solo endeavors, propelling both artists into the international spotlight.

The song, coming in the wake of powerful hot girl anthems that defined 2024 and early 2025 such as Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, Eusexua by FKA Twigs and Charli XCX’s Brat, offers a hard-hitting addition to the catalogue. Doechii and JENNIE deliver an anthem of feminine empowerment, chanting: “Do my ladies run this, ladies run this?” between verses of exceptional caliber delivered by the duo. JENNIE’s sassy, sultry and airy vocal delivery contrast and complement Doechii’s razor-sharp flow. As the two interweave over the track’s minimal, bass-heavy production, they create an impeccable yet unexpected synergy.

The accompanying music video, directed by Cole Bennett, showcases the duo dressed in striking Schiaparelli blazers and crimson feather-trimmed bodysuits, is just further proof of the synergy of this powerful pair as they command the screen with impeccable choreography, oozing confidence with skillful ease.
