Rising from Switzerland’s electronic underground, INAMAR has emerged as one of dance music’s most intriguing new voices. Straddling the intersection of melodic techno and progressive house, she’s crafted a signature sound that’s both deeply atmospheric and dancefloor-ready. Following breakthrough moments with Free Spirit on Deep Woods and a masterful remix for the iconic Eli & Fur, she’s caught the ear of industry titans like David Guetta. Her latest single Rhythm (out now on Sirup Records) continues her exploration of hypnotic beats and ethereal soundscapes, further cementing her reputation as electronic music’s most promising new auteur. We caught up with her to discover more about Rhythm, and what makes INAMAR tick.
Your new single ‘Rhythm’ continues to blend melodic techno and progressive house. How do you see this track evolving your sound compared to your earlier releases like ‘A Million Stars’ and ‘Sky Is The Limit’?
I believe I’ve found my core identity as a producer. With ‘Rhythm’, I think I’ve created a track that has the kind of energy that makes people want to dance. On stage, I love being in rhythm with my crowd, and now that feeling is captured in the track.
You’ve gained support from industry heavyweights like David Guetta. How has this recognition influenced your approach to production, particularly on ‘Rhythm’?
This is a huge support, and for me as a producer, it gives me a lot of confidence and immense motivation to move forward with my productions.
As a self-producing artist, you create every element of your tracks. Can you walk us through your creative process for ‘Rhythm’, from conception to final mix?
My creative process always starts by jamming on my piano randomly, creating melodies and lyrics. Once I’ve created them, I switch to my DAW Logic Pro X and transmit the final idea. I explore with various plugins and experiment with different sounds, bringing my vision to life. The combination of jamming on my piano to create the initial idea and structured production in my DAW is where the magic happens for me.
Your breakthrough single ‘Free Spirit’ on Deep Woods seemed to define your musical identity. How do you feel your sound has developed since then, leading up to ‘Rhythm’?
I believe my music has developed in the right direction, and I think it now has a lot more energy and a great vibe to make people dance. When I’m in the studio, I can already imagine myself playing the track for my crowd, and I put all my energy and good vibes into it to transmit that feeling to the people on the dance floor.
Your remix of Eli & Fur’s ‘Better In The Dark’ showcased your versatility. How do you balance staying true to your signature sound while exploring new territories in your productions?
I try to stay true to my signature sound by focusing on what makes my music unique. At the same time, I love exploring new styles and ideas. I take inspiration from the original while adding my own touch.
Sirup Records has been a consistent home for your recent releases. How has your relationship with the label shaped your artistic direction?
I am happy to work with Sirup Music. We share the same vision for my music, which is important for me as a producer because it allows me to freely express my creativity.
The dance music landscape is constantly evolving. Where do you see your brand of melodic techno and progressive house fitting into the current electronic music scene?
I believe my music fits particularly well in festivals and clubs, where I can inspire people with my good vibes and joy. Every track of mine tells a story, and my goal is to share these stories on stage through my music and evoke emotions, allowing the audience to not only hear the music but also feel it.
Looking beyond ‘Rhythm’, what sonic territories or collaborations are you eager to explore in your upcoming projects?
I’m happy to announce that on November 1st, my official remix for Pretty Pink will be released on Deep Woods. Of course, I’m working a lot on new music and would love to collaborate with other artists.
