Manchester clubbing institution The Warehouse Project (WHP) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a series of events, including a documentary, an art exhibition, and a major 2026 season. Founders Sam Kandel and Richard McGinnis expressed their pride in the project’s legacy of progression.
The celebration kicks off with the documentary “Twenty Years In Manchester,” directed by Leigh Powis, which will be released on May 29. It features archival footage and interviews that showcase the evolution of UK dance music.
Starting in July, there will be an outdoor art exhibition, a historical podcast, and a print magazine exploring WHP’s influence on Manchester’s music scene, along with a compilation album.
The highly anticipated 2026 season at Depot Mayfield begins on September 18, featuring performances from artists like Ki/Ki, Tiësto, and Solomun, with select sets streamed live on Apple Music.
Since its inception in 2006, WHP has gained global acclaim for its unique warehouse atmosphere and has hosted renowned artists, expanding its reach to cities worldwide.
