SEVEN, the trailblazing ‘House meets Techno’ label, proudly unveils its second EP from co-founder CRYME: Reality Rush. This electrifying release solidifies CRYME’s reputation as a master of rhythm and sonic innovation. Following a string of successful EPs and international accolades—including residencies with DeReünie and Pornceptual and debuts at iconic venues like Boiler Room and Basement New York—CRYME is on a meteoric rise. With support from heavyweights like Honey Dijon and Palms Trax, and his championing of Queer and FLINTA* talent through SEVEN, CRYME is not just shaping his own narrative but also redefining the dance music landscape.
Hailing from Berlin’s underground scene, CRYME is the epitome of house and techno synergy, infusing his sets and productions with an infectious energy and love. Producing since 2022, he has already made a formidable mark with six EPs and contributions to the Pornceptual 10th Anniversary VA. In 2024, he co-founded SEVEN to amplify uplifting, minimal, and progressive house sounds, carving space for emerging talent from diverse communities. Known for his fast-paced, joy-filled sets, and his mastery on the CDJs, CRYME has become a fixture in Europe, Asia, and beyond, sharing stages with some of the industry’s finest.
Reality Rush takes listeners on a sonic voyage through atmospheric house with a modern twist. The title track, ‘Reality Rush’, kicks off the EP with playful sound design, a steady rhythm, and a bassline that commands the dancefloor. Christoph Faust’s Detroit-inspired remix slows the tempo, adding weighty kicks and nostalgic vocal stabs. ‘Aurora’ shifts gears, offering a laid-back, percussion-driven groove perfect for nocturnal cityscapes. ‘Orbit Exp.’ rounds out the EP with groovy pads that ebb and flow, evoking a sense of cosmic drift. The Digital Edition Bonus Track, Mesmer’s remix of ‘Reality Rush’, adds depth with reverb and delay, delivering a mellow, introspective finale. Together, these tracks encapsulate SEVEN’s ethos: vibrant, inclusive, and irresistibly danceable.
*The acronym FLINTA* stands for: female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people.
