OKADOSH shares breathtaking multisensory album Through All [Premiere]

Multi-modal creative OKADOSH is gearing up to release his IDM debut album Through All on 4 April. The album has been in the making for nearly a decade, and is a deeply personal project for OKADOSH, who’s been working on it since 2017.

As an acclaimed visual artist, painter and composer, the 11-track album sees OKADOSH wear his heart on his sleeve, creating music that explores the symbiotic relationship between sound and vision, while also drawing influence from the likes of Aphex Twin and Richard Devine

The album captures his artistic fervour, and sharply carved creative vision through the use of audio manipulation, and inspiration from rich indigenous cultures in Africa, India, China as well as Shamanic traditions.

The opening track ‘Angra’, begins with an inauspicious atmosphere and then moulds into a seven minute odyssey of whimsy and precision. The single is a brilliant showcase of OKADOSH’s sound design skills, and ability to evoke emotion through seemingly unconventional experimentation. ‘How Long’ feels like the ideal soundtrack to a Shamanic ritual, with its slow-burn introduction and use of modulated vocals which sound like a ritualistic chant. It then evolves into a serene electronic offering with dramatic synths, a captivating melody and siren-like background vocals.

The album concludes with ‘Bleed It In’, which is also the shortest track on the album. ‘Bleed It In’ sees OKADOSH take a more ambient sonic direction, with synths that have been morphed into high and low pitched textures, akin to whales singing in the ocean.

Speaking on the album, OKADOSH reveals; “this album is an exploration of sound and vision, an invitation to immerse yourself deeply and discover beauty through sonic experimentation.” Through All is a bold and victorious showcase from OKADOSH. The album proves that taking risks, following your instincts and colouring outside of the lines, more often than not has the best outcome.

The album will be available on all streaming platforms from Friday, 4 April
