Dropped on March 21, 2025 alongside the LP, the single melds indie, soultronic, pop, and cinematic influences, presenting a rich, immersive soundscape that immediately draws listeners in – a stunning opener that sets the toner for a truly spectacular album.

A versatile and inventive artist, Lilian Hak has carved out a unique space for herself in the music world. Known for her eclectic fusion of cinematic pop, jazz, avant-garde electronica, and theatrical composition, Hak’s music harnesses elements of these genres and transcends them entirely. She has toured extensively across Europe, playing major festivals, renowned venues, and theaters. Sharing stages with acts like M83, The Kills, and Kashmir, Hak has earned recognition with her work featured on prime-time TV, major Dutch radio stations, and even NYC’s WFMU. Collaborations with the likes of Ozark Henry, Matthew Herbert, T.Raumschmiere, Scanner, Wouter Hamel, Pitto, and iET further highlight her dynamic range and credibility in the industry.

‘I Will Ever Be Your Head’ introduces RESET with a delicate balance of instrumentation and narrative depth. With its deep bass riff, jazzy drums, and lush brass arrangements, Hak creates an undeniably captivating atmosphere that is sure to turn heads. Lyrically, the song delves into themes of self-liberation, digital isolation, and the complexities of modern power dynamics. Drawing inspiration from Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice and Hitchcock’s Rear Window, Hak weaves a narrative of voyeurism and control, set against the backdrop of the digital age, where virtual spaces often feel just as constricting as physical ones. The track’s sophisticated blend of bass, horns, guitars, and layered vocals creates an emotionally charged atmosphere, reflecting the strength and vulnerability inherent in the song’s themes.

Lilian Hak describes the creative process behind the song: “I started with the lyrics for this one. The bass riff and trombone section felt like the skeleton of the track. I built on that by layering in horns, guitars, and rich vocal harmonies. After handling the pre-production myself, I went into the studio with my producer to record drums, bass, and guitars, then stacked multiple layers of vocals to create depth.” As for the song’s deeper meaning, Hak asserts, “The song’s protagonist refuses to be manipulated. I am not your fool to tag.”
