New York-based producer, DJ and multi-modal artist HWIN unveiled his magical single ‘Love Is All I Need’ on 31 January, via his newly established imprint 57 Records.
HWIN is renowned as one half of the immensely successful duo Cathedrals, where he contributed his deft production and songwriting skills. The outfit received acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, VICE and Billboard to name just a few, and garnered over 60 million streams!
With the release of ‘Love Is All I Need’, HWIN is stepping into a realm of his own which was crafted through community, and an unlimited amount of passion. The track is strikingly beautiful, from its composition, to the emotions it evokes and the message behind it. Although it’s quite an emotionally poignant track, it translates effortlessly onto the dancefloor too, igniting the hearts and minds of its listeners.
The single is the first track to drop from HWIN’s debut EP Just Like a Flower, which is slated for release this year. Additionally, the next single from the EP ‘You’re Still On My Mind’ will be released on Friday, 28 February.
HWIN believes in creating thriving creative ecosystems, so it’s only natural that his label 57 Records also serves as a community-based cultural hub. It has over 7000 members and counting, and serves as a blank canvas for cultural exchange and collaboration, which has driven much of its success. HWIN also hosts a monthly party called Circadian Rhythms which served as the testing ground for ‘Love Is All I Need’, and was the catalyst for the track’s evolution.
