Elusive experimental artist Yves Tumor drops new album, ‘Safe In The Hands of Love’
Written by Maya-Rose Torrão
Yves Tumor has just released his brand new 10-track album via Warp Records, a genre-blending experimental funk masterpiece that defies all norms and features artists James K, Oxhy and Puce Mary, called ‘Safe In The Hands Of Love’. Yves Tumor has been teasing the album for a while now, with the release of a number of singles including ‘Noid’ which was released at the end of July and ‘Licking An Orchid’ which was shared with a video last week. In the last 24-hours before the official release of the album, a few other tracks were also revealed and now you can listen to ‘Safe In The Hands Of Love’ on all online platforms, worldwide. The physical release will arrive on October 12th.
Yves Tumor’s music ranges from dissonant to sultry and from quietly experimental to brashly cocky but is always delightful in the way that the enigmatic artist puts his entire soul into his work. The strange, fashionable and undoubtedly talented musician now embarks on an exciting tour, supporting Blood Orange for a slew of shows in the US and Canada and will also hit Europe for another block of events.
