Diplo x Artemas – ‘BRAIN’

Few artists have shaped modern dance music quite like Diplo. As the genre-hopping producer behind dancehall project Major Lazer, half of the electronic duo Jack Ü alongside Skrillex, and member of supergroup LSD with Labrinth and Sia, he has built a career on cultural collisions, blending global rhythms with club-ready swagger, always a few steps ahead of the curve. From underground crate-digger to Grammy-winning hitmaker, Diplo remains one of electronic music’s most restless innovators, with a career spanning nearly three decades and no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

On the other end of the spectrum is rising alt-pop provocateur Artemas. With a sound that filters melancholy through sharp synth hooks and dark bedroom-pop textures, he has quickly carved out a space between raw vulnerability and Gen-Z aloofness. Viral success and a growing cult following have positioned Artemas as one to watch, and now, as a collaborator.

Their new track fuses their worlds perfectly: fragmented techno, hypnotic pads, and angst-pop collide in a hard-hitting synth-inflected atmosphere, perfect for the moodiest nocturnal drive through a flashing city. Artemas’ impassioned vocals soar over Diplo’s thrilling soundscapes, taking the listener on a dizzying ride through a mere two-and-a-half minutes. With mesmerising slowed and gritty sped up versions to boot, ‘BRAIN’ buzzes with the electricity of youthful fervour.

‘BRAIN’ doesn’t push the boundaries of pop, but it doesn’t need to. It leans into the genre’s core strengths: immediacy, emotion, and hook-driven intensity, with Diplo’s slick, shadowy production giving it a razor’s edge. Sometimes, delivering a hit is impact enough.
