Dead Fader Announces New Album + Shares ‘Mud Underworld’

Berlin based electronic artist Dead Fader aka John Cohen has announced details of his new album Glass Underworld and shared its opening track ‘Mud Underworld’ (see below). The album will be released on October 23rd by Robot Elephant. Dead Fader’s previous two albums Blood Forest and Scorched were released by the label to great acclaim in 2014 and this month saw the release of his Sun Copter 12″.

The new album’s themes are “inquiring emotional states… the writing process was predominantly influenced by falling in love whilst making the album.” The propulsive ‘Mud Underworld’ demonstrates Cohen’s tough and experimental yet emotive approach to electronic music, reminiscent of classic Warp Records artists like Aphex Twin and Boards Of Canada as well as abrasive sound artists like Ben Frost and Tim Hecker.

Glass Underworld tracklist:

A1. Boom Town
A2. Glass Cathedral
A3. Mud Underworld
A4. Nine Strokes
B1. Penchant
B2. Not One
B3. Thunderstorm
B4. Too Busy

Dead Fader kicks off a UK tour with Necro Deathmort later this month:
