With a slight-fantasy edge to a pilot’s life, Moderat have released visuals for their track ‘Running,’ a single off their recent album III. Much like the title suggests, running away seems to be a major factor in the storyline of this video, which features a stunning desert landscape, as well as a backdrop of meticulously shiny airplanes in a rugged environment.
Moderat’s always been great at dissonance, and ‘Running,’ in both visual and auditory form, is an exemplary example of their skillset as a threesome. The visual direction by Jakob Grunert is stellar, and while the storyline is relatively kept to a simple level, we’ve all felt like running from our work from time to time, and a fantasy like this brings a certain level of satisfaction.
