Experimental vocalist Attila Csihar (Sunn O))), Mayhem, Void Ov Voices) will take the lead role in composer Ian Wilson‘s I Burn For You, a music theatre work featuring projections and a live score to be staged in London, Liverpool, Nottingham and Gateshead this Halloween week.
I Burn for You is inspired by Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire novel Dracula and staged by German opera director Christian Marten-Molnár. The cast of Csihar (The Vampyr), Lauren (The Woman) and Phil Minton (The Doctor) are joined by a small ensemble of experimental musicians comprised of Clive Bell (accordian/winds), Lee Patterson (electro-acoustic improvisation) and Cathal Roche (saxophone).
The tour is produced by Tusk Music and supported by Sound And Music.
