The countdown is on for music’s biggest night, and all signs point to a headline-heavy ceremony led by Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, and Lady Gaga.

The 2026 Grammy Awards take place on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with comedian Trevor Noah returning as host for a sixth consecutive and final turn at the helm. After half a decade steering the show through pandemic-era broadcasts and post-lockdown spectacle, Noah now presides over what could be one of the Grammys’ most transitional editions yet.

Behind the scenes, the awards are evolving too. This year’s winners will be selected by the most diverse voting body in the history of The Recording Academy, bolstered by more than 3,800 new voters. The ceremony also introduces notable category changes, including the split of Best Country Album into Best Traditional Country Album and Best Contemporary Country Album, alongside a brand-new award for Best Album Cover.

In terms of nominations, Kendrick Lamar leads the field with nine nods, while Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut follow closely with seven apiece. Sabrina Carpenter also features prominently across major categories, underscoring a year where pop, rap, and crossover sounds collide at the top of the ballot.

How to watch:
The ceremony will broadcast live on CBS from 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT, with streaming available live and on demand via Paramount+.

Performers and presenters have yet to be announced, but with the nominations in place and a refreshed Academy behind the vote, the 2026 Grammys are shaping up to be less about predictability and more about momentum, where legacy acts and new-generation stars meet under the same spotlight.
