Stefan Braatz Climbs Higher with New EP ‘Timeless Altitudes’

Stefan Braatz has returned with a fresh elevation of his analog house aesthetic in Timeless Altitudes, out now via Moom Sound. Released on August 15, the five-track EP builds on Braatz’s legacy as a master of stripped-down, hardware-crafted house. With credits on revered imprints like Nu Groove, Poker Flat, and King Street, Braatz continues to prove his staying power in the scene, adding new depth to his signature style with two sharp remixes from MakeFeelGood and MIDGE (UK).

A stalwart of Berlin’s underground since the early ’90s, Braatz has shaped his sound in the heart of the city’s club culture, earning his stripes in iconic venues such as Tresor and Globus. His dedication to analog production brings a tactile, warm quality to his tracks, reinforcing the timelessness of his minimal, groove-heavy approach. From modular synths to drum machines, Braatz’s process stays true to the roots of classic house, offering sonic clarity and dancefloor euphoria.

The EP opens with ‘Timeless Altitude’, a breezy, shuffling cut that MIDGE (UK) later transforms into a crisp, late-night rework with sharper rises and undulating textures. ‘Solid Strings’ leans into bright disco elements, with sunny chords and a buoyant pulse. ‘Deep Poke’ is a more hypnotic affair, its layered percussion and synth sweeps creating a mood both meditative and danceable. The MakeFeelGood remix of ‘Deep Poke’ mirrors the MIDGE (UK) edit’s club-minded instincts with thrilling builds and deep bass lines taking center stage, all while preserving the DNA of Braatz’s original analog groove.
