PREMIERE: William James remixes Illenium’s “Without You (ft. SKYLR)”

This year has been a big one for Colorado producer Nick Miller aka ILLENIUM including the release of his debut album “Ashes” and remixes of the likes The Chainsmokers and Flume racking up hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify and Youtube. Bringing 2016 to a perfect end, ILLENIUM, who is currently touring the US releases ‘Ashes Remixes’ which features an incredible list of currently thriving artists including Synchronice, Just A Gent, Crystal Skies, Virtu, K?d, Ryan Exley, William Black, Kill Paris, FURY, Dabin, Hazey Eyes, Ryan Exley, it’s Different, T-Mass & LZRD and Mr FijiWiji.

We’re able to premiere the William James remix today. From the gentle, organic opening strains to the anthemic closing moments of ILLENIUM‘s “Without You (ft. SKYLR)”, it’s clear that going big was always part of the plan. Wide sidechain compressions open and close at a slow throbbing tempo, acting as momentary portals into a large, reverberating landscape of soft angelic harmony. SKYLR‘s voice ducks in and out too, interplaying beautifully with soothing bells and an innovative take on sweeps and background textures. An evening closer if ever there was one.
