Obsidian Cane and Gizella have unleashed their scorching new single ‘Addicted’, released 30 July 2025 via Reset Records UK. The producer–vocalist duo are no strangers to acclaim. With over two decades of combined experience in the underground scene, they have released club hits, collaborated with artists on Warner Bros, EMI, and Parlophone, and earned glowing reviews from outlets like EDM Magazine and EDM All Day.
London-based producer Obsidian Cane first made waves as one half of UKG duo KP, scoring the club hit ‘I Need A Rhythm’, before producing for TV networks Channel 4, BBC One, and BBC Two. His style blends fast-paced Drum and Bass with unexpected melodic flourishes. Partner-in-crime Gizella debuted on Gotcha! Records in 1998 and quickly became known as London’s “vocal chameleon,” weaving her distinctive voice across genres from Hip Hop to Dubstep. Together, they channel influences from Pola & Bryson, Kenya Grace, and Visages into a sound that’s dynamic, boundary-pushing, and unmistakably their own. Following their acclaimed singles ‘Never Change’ and ‘Crazy World’, this latest release cements Obsidian Cane and Gizella as a creative force with both mass appeal and underground credibility.
On ‘Addicted’, shimmering melodies ride over an easy-cruising Drum and Bass groove, creating a lush backdrop for Gizella’s playful yet heartfelt vocal delivery. Lyrically exploring the heady emotions of a hopeless romantic, the track marries summery-light highs with groovy, gritty lows, a perfect blend of dreaminess and danceability.
