World renowned graffiti artist Bansky opened his ‘Dismaland Bemusement Park‘ exhibition this morning at the derelict seafront lido in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset.
DJ Yoda, Peanut Butter Wolf, Breakbeat Lou, Run The Jewels, Sleaford Mods, Savages, Kate Tempest, Pussy Riot and Massive Attack have all been announced to play live shows.
Said to be a ‘sinister twist on Disneyland‘, the show will also feature work from Damien Hirst and former KLF member Jimmy Cauty and will occupy Weston’s Tropicana for five weeks. The exhibition is also said to include a Punch and Judy show that references Jimmy Savile and Fifty Shades of Grey, Grim Reaper Dodgems, Water Cannon Creek and the Jeffrey Archer Memorial Fire Pit.
The artist told The Weston Mercury that he had ‘hand-picked the Tropicana venue himself during a visit to the town‘.
