Manchester’s electronic music scene is showing few signs of slowing down, with a wave of major events and new projects reinforcing the city’s status as one of the UK’s most important dance music hubs. The biggest development is the 20th anniversary of The Warehouse Project, which returns to Depot Mayfield this September with its most ambitious programme yet.

The 2026 season will feature artists including Overmono, Solomun, KI/KI, Klangkuenstler and The Streets, while a new fourth room, Vault, has been added to the venue. Overmono will also curate a major takeover in October featuring James Blake b2b Joy Orbison, Helena Hauff b2b DJ Bone, Moodymann and Blawan.

Elsewhere, Manchester is continuing its tradition of putting electronic music in unconventional spaces. Escapism will launch at the Grade II-listed Victoria Baths on October 10, transforming the former swimming complex into a daytime dancefloor. The event comes from Renaissance founder Geoff Oakes and will feature Deep Dish, Smokin Jo and Pattn

Together, these developments demonstrate how Manchester’s electronic music culture continues to evolve while maintaining its connection to the city’s industrial past. From Depot Mayfield to historic buildings being repurposed for contemporary club culture, the city is once again finding new spaces and new ways to bring its electronic music community together.
