Paint us a picture: what sparked your passion for the arts in the first place? Was there a single moment or experience that solidified your decision to pursue this path?
It all really began when I was around 14, forming a duo with a friend just for fun. What started as a casual project quickly turned into a real passion. Over time, the connection I felt with creating music only grew stronger, and it naturally became a part of who I am.

When you create, what leads the way – a feeling, a story, or the sound itself?
For me, it usually starts with a feeling. Whether it’s energy, nostalgia, or something more intense, I try to translate that emotion into sound. Once I lock into the vibe, everything else, melody, rhythm, even structure, starts to fall into place. It’s like chasing a mood and building a whole world around it.

What’s in your toolkit? Share the gear, gadgets, or software you can’t create without.
I produce primarily in FL Studio and rely on an SSL soundcard paired with Yamaha HS8 monitors. I use a variety of plugins to shape my sound, and while my setup isn’t the most high-end, I’ve learned that passion and a solid understanding of your tools can take you far. It’s not just about the gear, it’s about how you use it to bring your ideas to life.

What’s your go-to ritual or trick for getting into the creative zone?
I usually get inspired by listening to other artists, it helps spark ideas and shift my mindset into a creative space. Beyond that, I like to start sessions by messing around with sound design or flipping a random sample just to loosen up. Sometimes I’ll dim the lights, throw on some ambient visuals, or even step away from the DAW to sketch out ideas in my head. It’s all about creating the right atmosphere to let the creativity flow naturally.

Your music strikes this perfect balance between the euphoric highs of EDM and the emotional storytelling of pop—if one of your tracks were a scene in a movie, what would that scene look like, and what emotion would it be driving home?

It would be that pivotal moment when the main character stands at a crossroads, city lights flickering around them, as they realize both the pain of letting go and the hope of new beginnings. The music would swell with uplifting synths and a driving beat, mirroring the rush of adrenaline and possibility, while heartfelt lyrics echo the character’s inner transformation.

The emotion driving home would be the exhilarating release that comes from facing your fears, embracing vulnerability, and stepping forward into the unknown with renewed strength. This kind of musical storytelling forges a deep, authentic connection with listeners, making them feel both the intensity of the moment and the universal hope that comes with change.

Tell us about the creation of your latest track, ‘There For You’. How did the collaboration with NACHT come about, and what was the inspiration behind the track?

The creation of ‘There For You’ was really a journey, one that took quite a bit of time and transformation. The track didn’t sound anything like it does today when we first started. The collaboration began when NACHT reached out to me, asking if I’d be interested in writing and singing on a track he was working on. I wrote my part, recorded the vocals, and sent it back to him. For a while, the project just sat there, unfinished. Then, out of the blue, NACHT contacted me again, but this time with a completely new version of the instrumental. It sounded so much better and immediately inspired both of us to bring the track to its final form.

The inspiration for the lyrics is deeply personal for me, my wife has struggled with depression and mental illness, and I wanted to capture what it means to truly be there for someone you love through their darkest moments. The song is about unwavering support and the quiet strength it takes to stand by someone, no matter how tough things get.

What’s the one item you always keep within arm’s reach while creating or performing?
A glass of Bumbu rum.

How did you ultimately end up defining your sound?
To be honest, I’m not sure I’ve fully defined my sound yet, and I think that’s part of the journey. I’ve learned that finding your sound isn’t about boxing yourself in; it’s about experimenting, evolving, and staying true to what feels right in the moment. Each track I make gets me a little closer, and that constant growth is what keeps me inspired.

How has your creative process or perspective shifted since you started your journey?
When I first started, it was all about making something that sounded cool. Over time, I’ve learned to be more intentional with what I create. Now it’s less about chasing trends and more about expressing something real, whether it’s a feeling, a moment, or an idea. I’ve also become more patient with the process, knowing that every track, even the unfinished ones, teaches me something.

Walk us through a recording session: what’s the most memorable moment you’ve had in the studio?
Hard to pick a specific moment to be honest but when a track just comes together out of nowhere. When you are experimenting with a random synth patch, no plan at all, and suddenly everything clicks—the melody, the rhythm, the vibe. It feels like the track is writing itself. Moments like that remind me why I love making music, it’s those unexpected sparks that make the process magical.

Are there any unexpected or dream collaborations hidden in your work?
One unexpected collaboration was a recent duet I did with a Chinese artist. It wasn’t something I saw coming, but it turned out to be an amazing creative experience. Blending different styles and cultural influences pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way, and the result was something really unique.

Any side projects you’re working on?
Besides making music, we are currently in the early stages of developing a music collective that brings together singer/songwriters, producers, and musicians. Additionally, we are working on launching a podcast that focuses on the independent side of the music industry. We are also in the process of establishing a record label to support and promote emerging talent.

Who’s an emerging artist you think deserves more recognition right now?
There are so many talented emerging artists it’s hard to pick just one, but I’ve had the privilege to work with some incredibly skilled producers like ItsArius and Lynnic.

What’s the strangest or most surprising song currently on your playlist?
I would say ‘By Your Side’ with the Chinese artist Silk Ye.

Which song, album or playlist do you never get sick of no matter how many times you listen to it?
Too many songs to choose, but the Melodic Deep House and Afro House playlists for sure.

Are there any unexpected hobbies or projects you’re exploring outside of your main work?
Not really, if it’s not music then it’s friends and family.

If your life and career were an album, what would its title be, and what’s the hidden track only your fans would know?
Uncharted Frequencies, reflecting the journey of exploring new sounds, breaking boundaries, and constantly evolving both personally and creatively.
The hidden track, known only to my closest fans, would be a deeply personal, instrumental piece that captures the quiet moments of reflection and the behind-the-scenes struggles that fuel the passion behind the music.

Give us a glimpse into the future – what surprises or milestones are coming up for you this year?
It has to be the development of the collective, podcast, and record label.

Famous last words?
Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.
