Four Albums We Can’t Wait To Hear in 2025

A new year brings with it the promise of new music, and in 2025 you can expect to hear fresh material from some of our favourite artists. 2024 saw a return to the hedonism of clubland, with projects like Charli XCX’s brat ushering in a new era of electroclash indebted dance music – a trend which looks to continue into this yer. These are four of our most anticipated releases of 2025:

FKA Twigs – Eusexua

Inspired by her discovery of techno in the underground clubs of Prague, the UK singer and dancer’s much anticipated third album promises to bridge the early experimentation of LP1 with the pop sensibilities of Caprisongs. Featuring a production roster that includes long-time collaborator Koreless and current avant-pop icon Eartheater, Eusexua promises to be Twigs’ most deliciously verbose work to date.

Shygirl – Club Shy Room 2

Shygirl went back to the club last year with her nostalgic, UK dance inspired EP Club Shy, and Room 2 looks to keep the party going. Coming off a fabric presents compilation and the SWEAT Tour with Charli XCX, the rave seems to be strong with Shygirl, and we can’t wait to see how she dials the energy up on this new project.

DJ Koze – TBA

After spending the past half decade behind the scenes of artists like Roisin Murphy, the genre-fluid German dance music icon is set to release the follow up to 2018’s lauded Knock Knock this year. We’ve already heard the eclectic socca-meets-afrobeat of the sun-soaked single Pure Love – and we remain in eager anticipation of whatever else is to come.

Releases: April 4, 2025

SBTRKT – TBA

If the rumours are true, UK producer and DJ SBTRKT is gearing up to drop the follow up to 2023’s The Rat Road this year. Chances are we’ve already tasted a chunk of the project, with six new singles from the bass master arriving last year. If this new music is anything to go off, SBTRKT’s upcoming project is possibly unlike anything else in his catalog – an embrace of garage, UK funk, and bass sans his usual deconstructions of these styles.
