British electronic producer and DJ Djrum is set to take over !K7 Records’ long-running DJ-Kicks series, with a 33-track mix arriving on October 16, 2026.The announcement comes after an especially active period for the artist, real name Felix Manuel. Following his return with the Meaning’s Edge EP in 2024, Djrum released the acclaimed Under Tangled Silence album in 2025 before following it with the I Wander EP in August 2026.
Moving beyond a standard club mix, Djrum’s selection spans electronic, experimental, ambient, breakcore, jazz, and post-punk. The tracklist features artists such as Venetian Snares, Susumu Yokota, Upsammy, Emptyset, Eli Keszler, Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids, Chris Watson, and post-punk group The Raincoats. It also includes exclusive, specially commissioned tracks from Skee Mask and Clark, both key reference points in Djrum’s musical journey.
Djrum created four new original productions for the project: ‘Turning’, ‘Psychic Video ‘, ‘Leave Me Alone‘, and ‘To Do What To Do‘, with ‘Psychic Video’ available as the first preview. Mirroring his physical DJ style, he mixed the material live from vinyl across three turntables before editing, collaging, and manipulating the recording in the studio. Djrum explains that he wanted a “bumpy” mix with “ups and downs” that defies expectations, which is reflected in a tracklist spanning multiple genres and tempos.
The physical release differs from the full digital and CD versions. The 2LP edition condenses the 33-track mix into 14 selections, featuring Djrum’s four original tracks alongside music by Skee Mask, Clark, The Raincoats, E Wata, Chewlie, Bugge Wesseltoft, Lino Capra Vaccina, and Chris Watson.
