Disappeared Completely have returned with the James Header remix of their haunting single ‘Falling’, released on October 10, 2025, marking the band’s anniversary and the long-awaited return of their catalog to streaming platforms. Known for charting across Ukraine, France, Germany, the UK, and Hungary, the Kyiv trio have steadily built a reputation for crafting songs that move between introspective melancholy and widescreen emotional release. Hits like ‘It’s in Your Eyes’ and ‘In the Sea’ cemented their place as one of Eastern Europe’s most quietly influential indie exports.
Formed in 2017 by producer and vocalist Vitalii Shapka (aka James Header), the group began as three students chasing the feeling of vanishing into their own sound, hence the name Disappeared Completely. Their debut LP Sea of Fallen Nests earned acclaim from Rolling Stone and Men’s Health, while 2023’s Pretty Average expanded their sonic palette with textured electronica and acoustic intimacy. Across their work, the band oscillates between glitchy, wintry downtempo and a sense of emotional vastness, often drawing comparisons to Thom Yorke, Moderat, and Apparat for their balance of human fragility and digital precision.
The new James Header Remix of ‘Falling’ translates the original’s ghostly introspection into something more physical and kinetic. Its pulsing low-end, thrumming synths, and streaks of mournful guitar push the song toward the dancefloor without sacrificing its spectral heart. Ethereal vocals hover like mist over rolling beats, making the track feel suspended between solitude and motion.
