Based in Ibiza, ANDAMERA is an electronic artist and DJ whose sound bridges underground house, deep tech and organic melodic techno. Rooted in vinyl culture and shaped by years spent immersed in club music, his performances are driven by instinct, groove and a deep connection with the dancefloor. After years of refining his craft behind the decks, ANDAMERA has entered a new chapter focused on music production, with his debut single “Moïta” introducing an immersive sound built around rich textures, hypnotic rhythms and contemporary club energy.

You first discovered DJing at just 13 or 14 years old. What was it about electronic music that captivated you so deeply at such a young age?
I discovered DJing at a very young age, back when electronic music was still largely underground. What immediately drew me in was its hypnotic nature. Unlike any other genre, it had the ability to tell a story without a single word. Through rhythm, texture and energy, it could create emotions that felt almost physical. Very quickly, I became more fascinated by the DJ than by the tracks themselves. Watching someone guide an entire crowd through nothing but music selection and mixing made me realise that this was exactly what I wanted to do.
Vinyl has remained at the heart of your identity as a DJ. In an era dominated by digital technology, what keeps drawing you back to records, and how has that shaped your approach to your sets today?
Vinyl taught me patience, discipline and, above all, respect for music. Every record you choose has a purpose, and every selection carries meaning. I also love the human side of vinyl. Every record has its own story, its own texture and even its own imperfections.
Even though I mostly perform digitally today, I still approach every set with the same philosophy: building a journey rather than simply playing tracks.
After spending several years focused on other professional projects, what made now feel like the right time to fully commit to ANDAMERA and this new chapter of your career?
Over the past few years, I dedicated a lot of time to developing other entrepreneurial projects, which gave me stability, experience and perspective. But music has always remained at the centre of my life.
Today feels like the right moment. I’ve grown both personally and professionally, and I finally have a clear vision of what I want ANDAMERA to become. This project represents a new chapter built on everything I’ve learned over the years.
What is it about reading a dancefloor in real time that inspires you, and how does that philosophy carry over into your productions?
Every dancefloor has its own personality. I love sensing when it’s time to build tension, surprise people, create emotion or simply let the music breathe. That same mindset naturally carries over into my productions. I don’t write tracks as isolated pieces of music—I imagine how they’ll feel in a club, how they’ll evolve over time and how they’ll connect with people emotionally.
Your influences range from pioneers like Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier to contemporary underground labels such as Unreleased.ofc. How do you balance honouring those influences while carving out a sound that feels uniquely your own?
My influences have shaped who I am, and I’ll always have immense respect for the artists who inspired me. But they’re only the starting point.
My goal has never been to recreate someone else’s sound. I want every release to reflect my own emotions, experiences and musical identity, so that people can instantly recognise the world of ANDAMERA.
‘Moïta’ marks one of the first releases from this new phase of your artistic journey. Can you tell us how the track came together, and why it felt like the right introduction to the world of ANDAMERA?
‘Moïta’ came together very naturally. From the very beginning, I wanted to create something hypnotic, emotional and groove-driven—something that reflected the atmosphere I wanted people to associate with ANDAMERA. It felt like the most honest way to introduce this new artistic chapter
There’s a strong sense of movement and atmosphere throughout Moïta. Were there any particular places, memories or dancefloor experiences that inspired the track’s mood?
Absolutely. Years spent on dancefloors, travelling and experiencing different cultures have naturally found their way into the music.
Ibiza, in particular, has had a strong influence on the atmosphere of the track. It’s not about recreating a specific memory, but rather capturing a feeling—that sense of freedom, movement and connection you experience through music.
Having spent years immersed in club culture before stepping into production, what surprised you most about the transition from selecting records to creating your own music?
Creating music from scratch is far more demanding than selecting records. DJing teaches you how music works on a dancefloor, but producing requires patience, precision and countless hours of refining even the smallest details.
It gave me even greater respect for every producer whose music I’ve played over the years.
Ibiza has become synonymous with electronic music, but it also carries plenty of stereotypes. How has living there influenced your perspective on club culture and your own artistic identity?
Ibiza is often reduced to clichés, but there’s so much more beneath the surface. Living there has introduced me to passionate artists from all over the world, each with their own vision of electronic music.
That environment has reinforced my desire to remain authentic and build an artistic identity that’s honest, personal and driven by emotion rather than trends.
With ‘Moïta’ setting the tone for what’s to come, what can listeners expect from the next chapter of ANDAMERA, both in the studio and behind the decks?
‘Moïta’ is only the beginning. The next releases will continue exploring the balance between groove, emotion and hypnotic textures, while taking the project into new musical territory.
Whether in the studio or behind the decks, my ambition remains the same: to create immersive musical journeys that connect with people and leave a lasting impression.
