Northern Irish electronic duo Bicep have announced their third album, SLUG, out on 29 January 2027 via Ninja Tune. It is preceded by three new tracks: ‘Gas’, ‘Ultra’, and ‘Equarium’.
The new singles feature several collaborators: Lauren Duffus and SOARR on ‘Gas’, Eartheater and Saskia on ‘Ultra’, and Kehina on ‘Equarium’. Alex Takács (Young Replicant) directed the music videos, which combine into a short film on pigeon fanciers.
SLUG follows September’s ‘Air’, ‘Lemonder’, and ‘Viper’. The 18-track album features Clark, George Riley, KUČKA, Sassy 009, Rowena Fysx, and others, expanding Bicep’s sound across diverse textures and electronic styles. Inspired by land versus sea slugs, the title reflects unexpected complexity, mirroring the record’s contrast of polished production, distortion, and varied influences.
Bicep have also announced two 2027 live dates: New York’s Knockdown Center on 20 March and London’s Old Royal Naval College on 31 July. These mark a return to live performance following studio work and their CHROMA project.
