The Cinematic Orchestra are set to perform at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral on 29th October 2026, in a special one-night concert presented by fabric.
The performance will mark the group’s first London show since their appearance at the Royal Festival Hall in 2024, while simultaneously launching a newly announced four-year partnership between fabric and St Paul’s Cathedral. The agreement will see fabric become the Cathedral’s exclusive partner for contemporary music through to 2030.
Building on fabric’s St Paul’s Cathedral shows with RY X (2024) and Patti Smith (2025), this collaboration expands into a full contemporary music programme. The Cinematic Orchestra’s performance features past, present, and future collaborators: Patrick Watson, Heidi Vogel, Elliott Skinner, and Kathleen Frances. Watson makes a rare shared appearance, their first in London since the 2007 Ma Fleur release at the Barbican and their first together since 2019 at LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall. Vogel, a core live performer for two decades, joins alongside upcoming album collaborators Skinner (a NY folk-soul multi-instrumentalist) and Frances (a Bristol vocalist-songwriter). The live band also features guest NY drummer Marcus Gilmore, São Paulo bassist Vinicius Cajado, and London keyboardist Al MacSween.
Founded by Jason Swinscoe, The Cinematic Orchestra has spent over two decades blending electronic, jazz, orchestral, and film music. They have garnered over a billion streams across four studio albums. The band has headlined venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Sydney Opera House, alongside festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella.
