Carlita has announced her second studio album, Telepathy, set for release on November 6 via Ninja Tune, alongside the arrival of a new single, ‘One More Dance’ featuring Stevie Appleton.
The forthcoming 13-track album sees the Istanbul-born DJ and producer continue to expand beyond the club-focused sound that has defined her rise, incorporating songwriting, live instrumentation and a broad group of collaborators. Telepathy features appearances from SOFI TUKKER, Justine Skye, Malive, Paige Cavell, Cleo Simone, Stevie Appleton and others.
‘One More Dance’ follows earlier singles ‘Patchwork’ (with Paige Cavell) and June’s SOFI TUKKER collaboration, ‘Manhattan’. The Telepathy tracklist also includes ‘WYWD’ (with Justine Skye), ‘Waking Up On A Sunny Morning’ (with Edd), ‘Rising Up’ (featuring Cleo Simone), ‘Solar Skin’ (with Malive and jasper.wav), and ‘Tame My Love’ (featuring Kosmo Kint).
Visually, Telepathy has been developed in collaboration with creative director Pedro Damasceno, with photographer Rafael Pavarotti responsible for the album artwork and accompanying imagery. The visual campaign reinforces the project’s wider emphasis on identity, connection and contemporary culture.
