PNAU, Troye Sivan – You Know What I Need

Continuing the nu-disco trajectory set out by their wildly popular reworking of Elton John’s Cold Heart, Australian trio PNAU enlist Troye Sivan for a summery retrowave jam that’s as easy as pop listening gets. Breezy, bright, and laced with funk, this one is made for the poolside.

Leftfield – This Is What We Do

British electronica icons Leftfield return with an austere motorik cut that swerves from sticky glitch bass to propulsive progressive house. The synths on this one are razor sharp, and Leftfield colours the negative space with all manners of machine funk sounds to create a textured and hypnotic experience.

Evita Manji – Body/Prison

The first single from Athens musician Evita Manji’s debut album sets the tone for what’s to come. It’s a far darker turn than their EP Neptune, and following the tragic passing of their partner SOPHIE, Body/Prison feels like a confrontation of pain. An aggressive industrial bass track, Body/Prison uses rave synths and clanging percussion to create a tense sense of claustrophobia.

Shygirl – Poison (Club Shy Mix)

Shygirl gives Nymph standout Poison the single treatment with a slight rework of its arrangement. Poison (Club Shy Mix) is bassier and brasher, its beats hit just a touch harder, and the overall effect is a stunning polishing of an already shiny gem.
