The legendary DJ and producer, Robert Miles – best known for hit song ‘Children’, has passed away. It has been confirmed that the cause of death was cancer.
Born in the Swiss town of Fleurier, his family relocated to Italy when he was a youngster. There he discovered his love for music through the piano. Although he originally pursued a career in electronic engineering, he later dedicated himself to DJing.
He released six studio albums, with his iconic hit ‘Children’ making it to number one in 12 countries after its 1995 release. The track is said to have reached the top five in “every European country with a singles chart”.
The EDM community has paid tribute to Miles on social media, with many DJ’s and producers remarking on the impact that ‘Children’ had on them as artists.
