A new 84-track drum & bass compilation has been released to raise funds for communities in Jamaica affected by Hurricane Melissa, one of the most powerful Atlantic storms on record. The project arrives via Floodlight, following the collective’s 2022 fundraiser that generated £23,000 for flood-relief efforts in Pakistan.
The release brings together a wide roster of contributors, including London Elektricity, Ed Solo, Villem, Potential Badboy, Crate Classics, Muffler, Cool Hand Flex, Manifest, Black Barrel, Ink, and many others. All proceeds will go toward aid efforts responding to the storm’s extensive impact.
Last month, a two-part fundraiser titled Dancing for Jamaica took place at Brixton Town Hall and Brixton Storeys in London, featuring performances by Fabio & Grooverider, Jumpin’ Jack Frost, Booker T, Roy the Roach, Mr Shiver, and Vanessa Freeman.
Hurricane Melissa struck the Caribbean between October 31 and November 4, becoming the third most powerful Atlantic storm system ever recorded and the strongest tropical cyclone of 2025. In Jamaica, the storm resulted in 32 deaths, widespread injuries, and approximately $7 billion in damages.
This new compilation channels drum & bass culture’s strong community ethos, mobilizing artists and listeners in support of Jamaica’s recovery.
