Dutch multidisciplinary collective 45ACIDBABIES have returned with their boldest, most vibrant offering yet: Paint The World Pink, a 12-track album that refuses to be ignored. This daring release is more than just music; it’s a manifesto for individuality, an anthem for those who dare to break free from conformity, and a call to unleash your true colors in a world that often demands grey. Paint The World Pink marks the band’s second studio album, following the success of their 2019 debut AMBER19, which earned over 2 million streams on Spotify for two of its tracks.
The collective – comprising Sob-, Robin de Geus, Daniël Brem, and Nina Miège – brings together four distinct creative personalities to form an electrifying force of nature. Known for their explosive, genre-blurring live performances, they seamlessly blend pop culture, synthesizers, garage guitars, and striking visual art. Their shows are as much about the experience as the music, often incorporating surreal stage visuals, bold fashion choices, and eccentric props that challenge the boundaries of what a live performance can be.

The album takes listeners on a journey through a dystopian world dominated by the oppressive Industry Inc, a corporation that forces society into a monotonous existence. In this gripping story, an underdog protagonist fights to escape the grey, embracing their unique identity while encouraging others to do the same. The album’s themes – neurodiversity, queerness, self-love, and the strength found in community – culminate in a triumphant return to the protagonist’s home planet, where they liberate others, giving them the space to become their own heroes.
“‘Running In2 U‘ tells the story of a character trapped in a shooting game, searching for something deeper than just mindless action,” the band explains. “It’s about connection—about finding a community where safety and belonging are possible. This theme runs through Paint The World Pink and is at the core of everything we do.”
The album itself is a sonic odyssey, fusing pop, electronic, and alternative influences to create a sound that’s as catchy as it is thought-provoking.
