Danish electronic artist Trentemøller has announced a new album, alongside the release of its second single, ‘Swerve’. The track serves as the record’s opening song and features Hong Kong-born, Vienna-based vocalist Sakura, combining guitar-driven textures with dense layers of noise and atmospheric sound.
According to Trentemøller, ‘Swerve’ was the first track written for the album and helped define its overall sound. He describes the track as balancing brutality and beauty, with Sakura’s vocals becoming an instrumental element within the production.
The forthcoming album features ten tracks, with vocals appearing on every song for the first time in Trentemøller’s career. The artist wrote, performed, produced and mixed the entire record, taking a selective approach to the final tracklist. The album is scheduled for release on 13 November across red vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats.
The announcement also comes with news of a 15-date European tour scheduled for February and March 2027. Beginning in Berlin on 27 February, Trentemøller and his band will travel through cities including Munich, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, London, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The live shows will feature the new album performed in its entirety from start to finish.
