Set the tone for us. Why the arts?

There is nothing better to realize myself.

Which comes first when you’re producing – the sound or the idea?

For me, it’s the sound first, which gives rise to the idea and the flow

Does your material feature any collaborations?

Yes, but there’s not that much because I do my own thing and I don’t like to be talked into it 😉

What’s on your current playlist?

A lot of my own tracks. I play up to 70% of my own stuff. But also tracks by Huminal, Dyzen, Issac and Xinobi.

Tell us about the chemistry you have with your fans on stage.

I like the moment when I grow together with the audience. And they already know me well and know that now it’s just going to get even better.

What techniques do you experiment with to get your original sound?

I don’t think there is any real technology. My instincts always guide me and I always take ideas home with me from the dance floor. I think I am my own technique.

Take us through a day in the recording studio.

I take my son to kindergarten early in the morning. Then I go to the studio and have a leisurely coffee first. Then I try and find something, e.g. a sample or vocal or a great VST. Sometimes it takes the whole day or just a few minutes and I have my idea and then it’s off to the studio.

Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “this is what I want to do”?

I’ve had it several times and still do. What could be better than being able to realize your creative thoughts and wishes?

I consider myself really lucky to be able to lead such a life.

What do you keep close by while you’re playing a set?

Dextrose and water

Any emerging artists on your radar?

There are a few at the moment. It’s getting easier and easier with the Technic these days. Unfortunately, it’s also just as difficult to be heard as the market is very oversaturated.

What gets your creative juices flowing?

My imagination is huge. All it takes is a good conversation with other artists and I explode with creativity. My little family also inspires me a lot.

Take us through your collection of gear, tech or software that accompanies your creative expression.

Well, let’s go through my collection together. I really like the Diva, then I work a lot with the pigments from Aturia and I have the complete V Collection. The Omnisphere and Native Instruments especially the Playbox is incredible.

Any side projects you’re working on?

Not at the moment as I am fully focused on myself.

How have you refined your craft since you entered the industry?

I have become completely more focused. Nobody is just an artist anymore. We’ve all become content creators, graphic designers, bookers, label owners and advertising managers, etc.

Breakdown the news for us: what can we expect from you this year?

My last single for 2024 will be released in December and it’s called Diamond. Next year there will be 2 remixes for 2 great artists. And many new labels on which I can publish. Unfortunately I can’t really go into that yet. There will also be a lot of releases on my own imprint Pour La Vie Rec.

Famous last words?

Love yourself and don’t be jealous, it robs you of energy and creativity.
