REVIEW: Drab Majesty Master Modern Post-Punk on ‘Cold Souls’

Drab Majesty is definitely one of only a handful, of progressive artists making post-punk right now. Drab’s got a first single “Cold Souls” coming out, released from the album The Demonstration, due January 20 on Dais. It’s going to be the work of something way past humanity, as you can determine via first single “Cold Souls.” The track features a meticulous, constantly building sound that’s like a time warp incorporating all kinds of synth-scapes from the ’80s to today. Deb Demure is also joined by True Widow vocalist Nicole Estill. It’s a good introduction to the mystique and power the record will have, a transient spiral of sounds that’s guaranteed to lull you into abstract despair.

Check out the song and tour dates below.
