Juliet Ariel and Karim Naas Join Forces on Hypnotic New Afro House Single ‘11:11’

African singer, producer and DJ Juliet Ariel has teamed up with French producer Karim Naas for ‘11:11’, a hypnotic Afro House single released October 2 via Paraíso Records. With more than 30 million streams across her catalogue, over 65,000 Shazams for ‘Take Me With You’ and more than 15,000 TikTok creations generated by her collaboration with Soa Mattrix, Ariel has established herself as an increasingly prominent voice within the global electronic music landscape.

Born in Kinshasa, raised in Paris, and based in Australia, Ariel blends Afro House, pop, and African electronic music. Her collaborators include Soa Mattrix (on ‘Africa’), Palm Brothers, Karim Naas, Burssbrain, and SiGNAL. She has earned editorial playlist support from Apple Music and Spotify, and reached No. 1 on Deezer’s Chill House playlist.

Based between London and Paris, producer, songwriter, and DJ Karim Naas creates Afro House, disco house, and dance music. He draws nearly one million monthly Spotify listeners. His single ‘Samba’ (feat. ZHIKO) charted on Beatport, earned thousands of Shazams, and received editorial support from Spotify and YouTube Music.

Built around the moment of seeing 11:11 and making a wish, ‘11:11’ tells a late-night story of two people drawn back together, centred on the lyric, “meet me in the moonlight, one more time.”

Ariel wrote the main hook before Naas crafted the production around it, eschewing a traditional build-and-drop structure for a steady, rolling Afro House rhythm that highlights her vocals, balancing intimacy with dancefloor energy. The release blends pop-oriented songwriting with contemporary African electronic influences and aligns with Ariel’s “African siren,” mermaid-inspired, monochromatic aesthetic to emphasise themes of alignment, repetition, and connection.
