JulianGK defies Valentines Day commerciality with a raw new track, ‘Game of Blood’

London-based Alt Punk singer JulianGK has unleashed another spirited single titled ‘Game of Blood’, an invigorating antidote to Valentines Day’s commercial mawkishness. With influences heavily drawn from his love for Pop Punk & California Punk, JulianGK’s music will ensnare lovers of acts like girlfriends, YUNGBLUD, Lølø and Hannah Grae.

Raised in the vibrant Costa Rica, his twin passions for music and skateboarding and surfing blossomed early. At 18, he left the sun-drenched shores behind and set his sights on Los Angeles, chasing his dreams in the music industry. There, he thrived, playing guitar with pro BMXer Rick Thorne’s Good Guys in Black and New Born Authority, as well as taking up bass for Troy Brauenstein. By 2016, the allure of London’s iconic music scene beckoned, and he made the leap across the Atlantic. As the frontman of The Road Atlas, he found fresh success, captivating audiences with the band’s dynamic sound. However, in 2020, an unexpected ear injury silenced the music and put his career on hold. After a challenging three-year hiatus, his story continues – a testament to resilience and passion for his craft.

‘Game of Blood’ is a charged and infectious love song that captures the chaos of a toxic relationship. Vivid verses stir deep memories, while the chorus hooks you with melodies that linger for days. When the breakdown hits, it’s pure kinetic energy – impossible to resist. The track offers listeners a hefty dose of the liberating catharsis of Pop Punk – a perfect Valentines present.

Julian divulged: “If you’re one of the lucky ones in a positive relationship, then this is a song for you to count your blessings and reflect on all those crappy loves that got you to the one good one! If you’re single, ha! For once, here’s a Valentines Day song you can listen to and feel better about being single.

On the other hand, if you’re in a toxic relationship, I hope this song will open your eyes and help you make the decision to end it and seek a better life.”
