Fred again.. is taking fans behind the curtain of the creative process by livestreaming the making of an entire collaborative mixtape with Mexican trio Latin Mafia—and the stream won’t end until the project is complete.
Broadcasting live from Mexico City, the ambitious session began on July 28, with the artists committing to stay live for as long as it takes to finish the record. The unconventional project offers fans an unfiltered look at songwriting, production and collaboration in real time, turning the often-private studio process into a shared experience.
The livestream follows the release of under the fabric (Mexico City, 11th December 2025), a 35-minute film documenting an intimate performance and recording session that sparked the collaboration. Shot beneath a large-scale fabric installation by Dutch visual artist Boris Acket, the film captures the chemistry between Fred again.. and Latin Mafia during their first creative sessions together in Mexico City.
Announcing the project, Fred again.. revealed that he and the trio have been writing music together “for many moons,” explaining that every idea they created naturally belonged in the same musical world. He also described the collaboration as a “proper family affair,” noting that Latin Mafia consists of three brothers while he frequently creates music alongside his own younger brother, with both acts also managed by their siblings.
Rather than releasing individual singles, the artists decided the material deserved to exist as one cohesive project. To make that happen, they reunited in Latin Mafia’s hometown of Mexico City to complete the mixtape live in front of a global audience.
