Apple Music is set to introduce visible labels for music materially generated using artificial intelligence, becoming the latest major streaming platform to address growing concerns about AI transparency. The company confirmed that its new ‘Made With AI’ labels will begin appearing on the platform later this year.

The initiative builds on Apple’s AI Transparency Tags, which were introduced earlier in 2026 as metadata for labels and distributors delivering music to the platform. Until now, that information has not been visible to listeners, but the new system will make AI involvement clearer at the point of listening.

Under the new policy, content providers including record labels and distributors will be responsible for identifying songs that have been materially generated using AI. The move follows similar action from other streaming services, including Spotify and TIDAL, as the music industry faces an increasingly large influx of AI-generated tracks.
