A24 has released the first trailer for Club Kid, the feature directorial debut from actor, comedian and writer Jordan Firstman. Set against the backdrop of New York’s queer nightlife scene, the film follows Peter, a hard-partying club promoter whose life is thrown into disarray when he discovers he has a 10-year-old son he never knew existed.
Written, directed and starring Firstman, Club Kid brings together an eclectic cast including Cara Delevingne, Diego Calva, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and newcomer Reggie Absolom. The film also features appearances from artists and figures connected to contemporary queer culture and nightlife, including Shygirl, River Moon, Alaska Riley and Saturn Risin9, further grounding the project in the world it portrays.
The film premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it quickly generated attention for its combination of exuberant party culture and a more intimate story about unexpected fatherhood. Firstman has described the project as emerging from a period of personal change following a breakup and his experiences within Berlin’s nightlife scene, with those experiences gradually shaping the emotional direction of the screenplay.
Club Kid is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 6th via A24, with festival screenings also planned for New York, Toronto and Telluride.
