K-Noiz Records: Quality and Originality Above All

Founded in Milan in 2014 by Italian DJ and producer Andrea K Cappelletti, K-Noiz has spent more than a decade building an independent platform around one simple principle: good music should speak for itself.

The label takes its name from Andrea K’s nickname combined with the word “Noise,” reflecting the project’s connection to electronic music while leaving plenty of room for creative exploration. Although dance and electronic music remain at the heart of K-Noiz, the label does not believe in restricting itself to a single genre. For the team behind the label, the most important qualities are quality and originality.

Over the years, K-Noiz has developed a catalogue featuring artists including Nadeep, J-Tox, Surgicals, Wolk, Daniele Ippolito, Mr. Dimmer, DVALS, Ago, Sunded, Marcy Brantes and Mark The Rose, alongside many other artists contributing to the label’s evolving sound.

The label has also continued to expand its physical presence alongside its digital catalogue. Looking ahead, K-Noiz plans to increase the number of vinyl releases it produces, while a new underground-focused sub-label is also set to launch in September 2026, dedicated to electronic music and tech house.

We caught up with K-Noiz to discuss the label’s origins, its philosophy on signing artists, the challenges facing independent labels today, and its plans for the future.

Please introduce your label and share the story behind how it started.

K-Noiz was founded in 2014 by the DJ and producer Andrea K Cappelletti.

What inspired the name and identity of the label?

The name is a mix of my nickname, K, and Noise.

How would you describe the label’s sound? Which genres and subgenres does the label primarily focus on or represent?

The main music is dance, but music is music, so we accept any musical genre, as long as it is quality and original.

What do you look for when signing or working with artists?

Quality and originality

Can you mention some of the artists currently on your roster?

Nadeep, J-Tox, Surgicals, Wolk, Daniele Ippolito, Mr. Dimmer, DVALS, Ago, Sunded, Marcy Brantes, Mark The Rose, and many others.

How has the music industry, particularly with the rise of AI, changed since the label first launched?

There are too many productions, so now we have to work harder to select the tracks to publish.

What challenges have you faced as an independent label, and how have you overcome them?

There are too many productions, and it is difficult to get new productions noticed even if they are of quality.

Are there any upcoming releases, collaborations, or projects that fans should look out for?

New releases from Surgicals and Nadeep on the horizon, plans for a new underground-focused sub-label in September, and ambition to expand the vinyl catalogue, the next chapter looks set to bring even more music from the K-Noiz family.

What’s the long-term vision and goal for the label moving forward?

Continue to spread good music and increase the number of vinyl records printed.
