Berlin-based artist Ellen Allien has revealed her upcoming album, New Life, scheduled for release on Jul 9, 2026 via BPitch. Accompanying the news is the single ‘Steh Auf,’ which offers an initial look at the project’s rave-centric and emotionally resonant tone.
The ten-track LP, recorded across Ibiza, Miami, and Berlin, showcases Allien’s progressive techno sound while investigating concepts of community, regeneration, collective responsibility, and autonomy. The record incorporates atmospheric soundscapes, dystopian visuals, environmental field recordings, and darkwave elements alongside spoken-word passages and hypnotic percussion.
Serving as the album’s emotional core, ‘Steh Auf’ balances optimism with darkness, reflecting Allien’s view of club culture as a platform for shared expression and resistance. The album includes tracks such as ‘Mein Herz,‘ ‘Riot,’ ‘Move It,‘ and ‘Cruising,’ further extending her long-term commitment to emotional and experimental electronic compositions.
