Get ready to confess again as Madonna reveals Part II album to arrive July 3

The Queen of Pop is heading back to the dance floor — and this time, it’s a full-blown sequel.

On April 15, Madonna officially announced Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II (also referred to as Confessions II), set for release on July 3, 2026, via Warner Records. The official statement was shared via her Instagram account and can be viewed there. The news marks her first full-length studio album in seven years since 2019’s Madame X, and a highly anticipated spiritual successor to her iconic 2005 disco-house masterpiece.

Teased for months (and officially confirmed after she wiped her Instagram and updated her bio with the lyric ‘Time goes by so slowly…’ from the original’s smash ‘Hung Up’), the album reunites Madonna with Stuart Price (aka Jacques Lu Cont), the producer behind the 2005 classic that delivered global hits likeHung Up,’ ‘Sorry,’ and Jump.’ That record was a non-stop dance party — a continuous mix of glittering disco, electro, and ABBA samples that topped charts worldwide and earned Madonna a Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album.

Details on Part II remain under wraps for now, but Madonna has already shared a short teaser featuring a snippet of a new track called ‘I Feel So Free.’ Early reactions suggest a shift toward house music vibes while staying true to the celebratory, body-positive spirit of the original. In a manifesto shared with Price, she reportedly declared: “We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies.”

The announcement comes after a busy few years for the icon: remix projects like Finally Enough Love (2022) and Veronica Electronica, high-profile collabs with Beyoncé, Sam Smith, and Fireboy DML, and the viral revival of her 1985 classic Into the Groove.’ She also returned to her longtime home at Warner Records last year, setting the stage for this comeback.

Twenty-one years after the original Confessions on a Dance Floor redefined dance-pop for a new generation, Madonna is proving once again that the floor is still hers. With summer 2026 heating up, Confessions II looks set to deliver the ultimate soundtrack for clubs, festivals, and living rooms alike.

Pre-orders are already live on Madonna’s official website Icon Community. Get ready to confess, the dance floor is calling.
