The mighty Flying Lotus kicks off his new Brainfeeder Films project – a film finance and production company, on November 16th. This is in partnership with Eddie Alcazar at a special bash held at London’s Regent Street Cinema.
Animator and film-maker Alcazar will also screen the world premiere of his new short film, Cream, and feature length film, Umbilical World. The screening is set to premiere Flying Lotus’s new short film, Royal to a U.K audience.
Flying Lotus and Firth originally got together to collaborate Flying Lotus’s video “Ready Err Not.”
Their creative mission is to produce “traditional and non-traditional entertainment” and commercial content for global audiences. The company will also act as a supportive ‘safe-house’ for its producing partners and for other independent filmmakers, and related multi-media artists seeking to push the boundaries of creative limitations.
Flying Lotus and Alcazar previously produced the Sundance entry “FUCKKKYOUUU” which Alcazar directed with a Flying Lotus-produced soundtrack. The film was showcased as a World Premiere at Sundance Next Fest 2015, and is an Official Selection at Sundance 2016. The film will also play the upcoming BFI Fest in London.

The duo’s first feature film is titled “KUSO,” which Flying Lotus is directing and Alcazar is producing. “Kuso” is tangled up in the aftermath of Los Angeles’ worst quake nightmare. The scenes focus between the aftershock effects and the altered, surreal lives of the survivors.
Earlier this week, Brainfeeder Films announced Workaholics star Anders Holm would star in Kuso. Holm will join comedian Byron Bowers and funk legend George Clinton in the film.
